Q&A

Does Scan Plugin really work with every library?

Long story short: no. This extension works with plugins & libraries that list articulations as text, which is the case for most libraries.
However some editors have chosen to rely only on icons or musical symbols, in this case, no luck with Scan Plugins.
Some other libraries are not easily detected: they feature very low contrast or use unusual words, this may lead in partial detection.
Yet, LASE has been tested and finetuned with the most popular libraries & player on the market: Kontakt, Orchestral Tools, EastWest, VSL, Spitfire,...

My favorite library is partially detected, or poorly, or not at all. Can you do something?

First, use the detection options to see if the result improves. If not, reach me at contact@loicdesjardins.com with a screenshot of your library.

In the information panel, what are the 2 import buttons for? (Scan Plugin owners only)

The detection rate of LASE depends on 2 sets of settings: the "recipes" tested to extract the word, and their compliance to a musical thesaurus.
Over time, I may publish new version of these settings: that's what the buttons are here for. So that you don't have to redownload the full app.

For the same price, I can have 2 plugins from <insert your favorite plugin dealer>

Yes, I know, I am a customer too. Yet, consider the amount of time lost in creating & managing articulations.
And the huge stress when it's not working right when you need it the most. LASE helps you designing nice sets & adjust them on the fly.
All my customers are praising this solution and the support I'm doing for it.

Why only Logic Pro?

Because this is the DAW I'm using. Cubase or Fender Studio have different ways of managing articulations and far better editors.
And 3rd party splendid editors too.

Why only MacOS?

Because Logic Pro is only available on this OS. Yet, if you'd want a Windows version for whatever reason, please contact me at contact@loicdesjardins.com
